This class is designed to teach students how to perform an effective Internal Audit, not just teach basics with students being unable to perform Internal Audits in an effective manner. There is NO EXAM, the time is utilized in actual audit practice, ON-SITE.
The lectures start with addressing Quality, Documentation and ISO 9000/QS 9000 or AS 9100 basics. The course also addresses How to Audit the Standard/Quality Elements, not just detailing what the elements are. Audit Phases are described in detail (Audit Preparation, Performance, Reporting & Follow Up). Various perspectives are given to allow the students to act as internal auditors, auditees, and discover what it would be like to undergo an ISO 9000 Registration Assessment.
Student involvement is the key to effective training and exercises have been developed to emphasize involvement, including a Team Work Preparation exercise, a Planning & Checklist Development exercise, ACTUAL Auditing, Writing up findings, Determining Finding Severity, and Preparing/presenting Audit Analysis and Reports.
This class is presented by an EXPERIENCED Internal Auditor (not an Auditor without actual Internal Auditing experience). Audit Program Development will be discussed and in conclusion, an Auditor to Auditor discussion about real life Internal Auditing Situations, Problems, and Recommendations will be addressed.
Note: Training days can be separated !
